It’s amazing to think the things on my doorstep are the places I’ve visited the least. This is a photo of one of the many dozens of wonderful ceilings in the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, or BMAG for short.
Museums and art galleries aren’t my thing but it’s worth a visit just to see the wonderful and varied architecture. Most of the building have been converted from various past uses, including gas and water bill collection offices.
BMAG receives close to one million visitors a year making it the 16th most popular in the country and 5th outside London. If you live in Birmingham, or just visiting, this is must be on your list of places to visit, plus it’s free!
